MAP & Aseptic technology, Is it good for Shelf life only?

Postby Ferrara » Thu Oct 09, 2014 9:37 pm

One of the biggest benefit of MAP & Aseptic technology is in enhancement of shelf life of the product / to keep the product fresh for longer time.

Are there any other substantial benefits for going ahead with these technologies?

Shelf life is one of the most critical attribute for marketability of any food product, Isn't it enough?

Yes, VG. It definitely is.

Although, I like fresh food and really don't want packaged food by any technology (aseptic, hot fill, cold fill or ultra clean) to replace that.

Unfortunately, in today's world we need to rely on these technologies as we want convenience and availability of all types of products all the time ;)
