Air Conveyors

Air Conveyors use positive or negative air pressure to lift, suck, and convey products. The force of the air is regulated and directed to achieve the desired result. The Air conveyor is actually an 'air-cushioned' conveyor where the materials are carried on a film of air blown into the tubular trough sections by a small fan, sufficient to move product at very high speeds and long distances. Support rollers are not required - there are only return idler rollers and the head and tail rolls. Fewer moving parts mean less wear and less maintenance. Due to even support of the belt by a film of air, usually the material remains motionless, unlike conventional conveyors where materials sometimes move abruptly causing spillage and dust. Due to high reliability, low energy costs, reasonable price and low installation costs, Air conveyors are one of the most economical conveying systems.

Air conveyors are usually fast and easy to install and require very little maintenance–the only moving parts are the fan and the motor. These conveyors are ideal for conveying lightweight and delicate products such as cans, containers, plastic bottles, and caps. Air Conveyors can move products in any direction – horizontally, vertically, around corners, and across long distances. Air Conveyors can include acceleration, transportation, deceleration, flotation, and accumulation etc. all can be combined in one design. Air conveyors can be used for in-line accumulation without product damage from backpressure or scuffing.
